LIFE GROUPS
"Pursuing God and His purposes in the company of friends"
A spiritual formation small group (we call them Life Groups) is smaller in number (usually 8-15), and more intimate in nature and purpose. Our Life Groups are modeled after what we see in the early church (esp. Acts 2:42-47), with people meeting together regularly (in our case weekly or bi-weekly) for teaching, fellowship, prayer, meeting needs, etc. Life Groups are led by trained and spiritually mature people who create and maintain a safe environment in which the group members can live out the one anothers of life (serve one another … encourage one another … pray for one another … bear one another’s burdens … love one another … etc). Life Groups meet in people’s homes throughout the week and throughout our geographic area.
There is a place for everyone, so we hope you’ll join us. You will find a listing of life groups that have space for additional members by clicking the "Find A Life Group" button below. You can fill out the "Contact this Group" form to directly connect with a leader to schedule a visit or to ask a question. If you don't see a group that fits your needs, we would love to talk to you about forming a group. You may email Cathy Thornton for assistance. Feel free to visit more than one group too. Note that most of our groups take a break from their regular schedule during the summer so please bear with us if you don't hear back from a leader immediately. Please do not use our life group finder to solicit any business, thank you!
SERVING AS A LIFE GROUP LEADER
The Life Groups Ministry is looking for a few good men and women who would consider being a leader/facilitator of a Life Group. If you have a desire to build authentic relationships, to experience biblical community, to see transformation in yourself and others, and to make a difference in God's Kingdom here on earth, then you already have what it takes. If you're interested or have questions, contact Ginny at gbecker@gfc.org.
